What we've learned during the past two years is that when people hear about Joseph's Project, they want to help. They want to help us do the important work of bringing food to families in need.

Here are a few reasons that people are excited about Joseph's Project:

• We deliver food to families in need.
  It's that simple.
  
• Our services are confidential.
  It's tough enough to need help. We can show respect to those in need by respecting their privacy and helping in the ways that we can.
• Our work supplements the essential services provided by food pantries and food banks in our communities.
  We work with Wachusett Food Pantry, Help at H.O.M.E., church and social organizations, and other agencies, letting each group do what it does best. It's amazing how much you can get done when you don't spend a lot of time worrying about who gets the credit.
  
• Our expenses are minimal so that the money that we collect through our fund-raising activities, including contributions in response to letters such as this, can go directly to the purchase of food. We have no paid staff. Our office space, telephone service, and web site expenses are provided to us at no charge by companies and individuals who support our work.
  

That's what we're asking of you now. We're asking you to contribute money, food, or time to bring food to families who need food.

In addition, we always welcome donations of food. Our donation boxes are available at local businesses and churches.

If you'd like to work with us to organize or participate in a food drive, please let us know.

We also welcome your donations of time. Please contact us for information about volunteer opportunities. We need people who can make regular deliveries, stock and sort food, and organize activities
