Review of minutes from previous meeting
Minutes were approved without comment.
Discussion
The Board discussed the following items.
- Balance as of 7/31 is $5,157
- Kevin Moylan will be joining the Board. Mike will invite him to the September meeting.
- We need to have a supply of business cards and flyers for Holden
Days.
- Fund-raising ideas include a car wash. Rich to follow-up.
- Halloween party and fund-raiser scheduled for Friday, October 23, 2009,
at West Boylston American Legion Post #204.

Halloween Party
Halloween party will be held on Friday, October 23, at the West Boylston American Legion Post #204. Rich has arranged
for pizzas, decorations.
Other fund-raising ideas
- Some high school juniors have expressed interest in holding a food drive on behalf of Joseph's Project.
- Rich has indicated that the Holden Postmaster would allow Joseph's Project to hold a car wash at the Holden Post Office.
Other topics
- Lynn reported on St. Mary's Christmas in July project that collected donations of clothing, back-to-school items, and
gift cards for Project families.
- General discussion regarding ways to involve new volunteers to assist in food collections, storage, and with deliveries.
All stressed how important anonymity is to families we serve.
- Discussion about brain-storming ideas for menus, alternative foods.
- Karl asked members to think about ideas for newsletter, friends and family letter.
